After spending 27 years of married life, 53-year-old Dishehara Mahmuda Begum has held a press conference demanding the establishment of rights against her husband along with her children.

Mahmuda Begum appeared at the Patuakhali District Press Club adjacent to the old town hall on the evening of 21st October and filed a written complaint against her husband Md Al Asad.

But the dream turned into a nightmare in a few days, with the one-time salary that I received after working in the revenue sector, with my personal money from the sale of around 10 gold ornaments, there was a plan to jointly buy land for the family, except for me, only in my husband's name. It does not end here. Since my husband's job became permanent, he kept moving away from the family day by day. Instead of spending the salary and allowances from the office, they spend it on various immoral activities. As a result, a state of immobility has been created in the world for a long time and it is almost the last state. Boys don't pay for girls' education. Does not market at home. Unable to bear the endless torture, I tried to take refuge in the law. I filed a case in court. But due to the fear, intimidation, restrictions and threats of my husband's tenants, mother and daughter could not attend. As a result, I have been repeatedly denied the right to a legal remedy. Since he works in government, he only rents houses and shows people, and does nothing else. He repeatedly told me that he has no responsibility towards me and my children and threw him out of the house.

The suffering of me and my children due to my husband's torture cannot be over. Lastly, my husband is retiring in a few days. He is currently running LPR. He is trying to deprive me and my children of pension benefits. She kept telling me that she divorced me.
