Preparation meeting to celebrate Mother Language Day in Betagi

A preparation meeting was held in Betagi, Barguna, to celebrate International Mother Language Day and Martyrs' Day '2025 with due dignity on Monday.
The President of the Mother Language Day and Martyrs' Day Celebration Committee and UNO Md. Bashir Gazi presided ovet and it was attended by Betagi Govt College Principal Samar Kumar Bepari, Betagi Police Station OC Moniruzzaman, Upazila Engineer Sheikh Toufiq Aziz, Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Turan, Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Wahidur Rahman, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Masum Billah, Upazila BNP Senior Joint Convener Principal Md. Shaheen, Upazila BNP Former Joint Secretary S.M. Nurul Islam Panna, Upazila Jamaat Secretary Lecturer Mohammad Shahadat Hossain and representatives from various levels.
Various decisions were taken in the light of the national program on the occasion of observing the day. Among them, on February 20, at 12:00 AM, at one minute, a wreath will be placed at the local central Shahid Minar to pay tribute to the language martyrs.
Individuals, institutions and organizations can pay tribute by placing flowers at the Shahid Minar on behalf of individuals, institutions and organizations. The meeting also directed that the national flag be flown at half-mast on February 21, in accordance with the correct size and rules.
