Advocate Mujibur Rahman Sarwar, Adviser to the BNP Chairperson, said that reforms are needed, but without delaying or wasting time in the name of reforms, national assembly elections should be held immediately. This government has failed to control the law and order situation and the rise in prices of commodities in the country.

The rise in prices of commodities should be controlled immediately and the roadmap for elections should be announced immediately after controlling law and order.

He said this while criticizing the interim government for protesting the rise in prices of daily necessities and failing to control the law and order situation across the country and demanding immediate national assembly elections without wasting time in the name of reforms

Advocate Mujibur Rahman Sarwar also said that people no longer want to vote during the day or at night. They want to vote peacefully. Voting is his fundamental right, but the past authoritarian Hasina government took away that right from the common people.

As part of the centrally announced program, a public meeting was organized by the district BNP at the Pirojpur Central Shaheed Minar premises on Wednesday afternoon.

The main speaker at the meeting was BNP Barisal Divisional Organizing Secretary A. K. N. Kuddusur Rahman.

Central Deputy Family Welfare Secretary Dr. Rafiqul Kabir Labu, Deputy Forest and Environment Secretary Kazi Rawnakul Islam Tipu, Barisal Divisional Deputy Organizing Secretary Mahabubul Haque Nannu, Central Member Elijah Zaman, District BNP Joint Convener Sheikh Riaz Uddin Rana, District BNP Convening Committee Member Advocate Abul Kalam Akon and other leaders at various levels.

BNP leaders and activists started arriving at the rally venue in procession from noon, focusing on the public gathering.
