AL leader arrested in Adamdighi

A ward Awami League leader was arrested in connection with the vandalism and cocktail explosion case of BNP office in Koyakanchi village of Chapapur union under Adamdighi upazila of Bogura district.
Jahangir Alam, the organizing secretary of Ward No. 9 of Chapapur Union, was arrested from his area on Thursday morning. He was sent to court in the afternoon after completing the legal process.
According to the case source, a group of people armed with domestic weapons attacked the BNP office in Kayakanch village at 1:30 am on 25th December. They vandalized the pictures of Ziaur Rahman, Khaleda Zia and BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and blast some cocktails. In this incident, Chapapur union BNP president Farid Hossain Sarkar filed a case against a total of 203 people, including 53 names and 150 unidentified people.
SM Mostafizur Rahman, OC of Adamdighi Police Station confirmed the information. He said that Alam was sent to court in the afternoon.
