Pirojpur Press Club election : President Shamim, Secretary Tanvir

S. M. Rezaul Islam Shamim (Dainik Amar Desh) and S. M. Tanvir Ahmed (Dainik Bangladesh Pratidin and Jamuna TV) have been elected President and General Secretary respectively in the Pirojpur Press Club elections.
On Saturday (December 28) morning, after the annual general meeting of the Press Club, all the candidates for the posts of President and General Secretary, including other posts, were elected unopposed as there were no rival candidates.
Assistant Commissioner of the District Administration and Executive Magistrate Md. Zakir Hossain served as the Election Commissioner.
The others elected are Vice Presidents Imam Hossain Masud (Bangla TV) and Khelafat Hesen Khosru (dainik Pirojpurer Katha), Joint General Secretary Ziaul Haque (Somay TV), Treasurer Mahamudur Rahman Masud (dainik Manabzamin), Office and Resources Secretary Tamim Sardar (Independent TV and Dainik Ajker Patrika), Literary and Cultural Secretary Kumar Shuvo Roy (Bangla Vision), Sports Secretary Rezwan Islam Sajan (Weekly Baleshwar), Information Technology and Publication Secretary Sheikh Abu Md. Zubayer Joni (Weekly Pirojpur Bani).
Executive members are Mahmud Hossain (UNB), Gautam Narayan Roy Chowdhury (Daily Dhaka Pratidin), MA Rabbani Firoz (Daily Khabor), Arif Mostafa (Daily Banik Barta and Bangla Tribune), Zahirul Haque Titu (Daily Jay Zaydin and New Nation), Fasiul Islam Bachchu (Samakal and Channel I), Khalid Abu (Amader Soom), Wahid Hasan Babu (Inquilab) and KM Habibur Rahman (Daily Star and DBC TV).
