Youth arrested in N’ganj with pistol

Police arrested a youth named S.M. Faiyaz Hasan Niloy (31) in Fatullah, Narayanganj, with a foreign-made sophisticated pistol. The arrest took place on Monday at 10 AM on the road in front of Baby Begum's house in Uttar Kashipur, Alipara under the Fatullah Model Police Station.
The arrested individual, S.M. Faiyaz Hasan Niloy, is the son of Monsur Haji of Kaodail Purbo Para under South Keraniganj Police Station, Dhaka. Currently, his family resides in the New Chashara Jamtala area under the Fatullah Model Police Station.
Confirming the matter, Fatullah Model Police Station OC Shariful Islam stated that based on a tip-off and with the help of locals, Niloy was apprehended from the Kashipur area. He was found in possession of a pistol and a magazine without bullets, manufactured in the USA.
Fire in Adamjee Bihari Camp in N’ganj destroys 10 shops
A fire broke out in the Adamjee Bihari Camp in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj, burning down 10 shops. However, no casualties have been reported.
The fire started at 1:30 AM on Monday night in the market area of Adamjee Bihari Camp. The incident was confirmed by Md. Miron Mia, Senior Station Officer of the Adamjee EPZ Fire Service and Civil Defense.
He stated that several teams from the fire service brought the fire under control after an hour of effort. Although there were no casualties, goods worth approximately Tk 5 lakh were destroyed. It is suspected that the fire originated due to an electrical malfunction.
Locals reported that the fire spread rapidly to nearby shops, reducing 10 of them to ashes.
