
One student got gold medal, 63 got scholarship in Sufia Kamal hall of DU

One student of Dhaka University Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall awarded 'Hall Trust Fund Swarnapadak-2021' and 63 students of different academic years received Trust Fund scholarships for achieving success in various activities of the hall including culture and sports.
University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal was present as the chief guest in the evening of Thursday 23rd May 2024 at the auditorium and handed over gold medals, scholarship money and certificates to the students. The gold medalist student is Farlina Afrin Shanta of Zoology Department 2016-17 academic year.
Hall Principal Professor Dr. Professor Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, University Treasurer and Trust Fund President spoke as a special guest at the scholarship awarding ceremony chaired by Gausia Wahidunnesa Chowdhury. Assistant Resident Teacher Shahrima Tanjim Arni conducted the program and vote of thanks was given by Sheikh Zeenat Sharmin, convener of the program.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal congratulated the gold medal and scholarship students and said that the participation and success of women at all levels of the state, including social and economic activities, is worth seeing. Women's empowerment and rights have been established in the country today due to various bold steps taken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the role model of world leadership. Due to the expansion of knowledge and science through various initiatives of the Prime Minister, women have come out of the society and are playing an appreciable role in the socio-economic development of the country. Due to these reasons, the women of our country are ahead of many countries in the world. Mentioning the number of female students in Dhaka University, the country's best university, he said, these students of ours are doing well in various professions in the classroom and laboratory as well as in the workplace. The Vice-Chancellor called on the students to develop themselves to be competent to play a role in building a developed, prosperous and smart Bangladesh of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's dream.
24 winners of the annual Literary and Cultural Competition of the Hall were felicitated on the occasion. At the beginning of the program, a wonderful cultural program was performed with the participation of the students.
