The central parliament of Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal has declared the dissolution of the Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NUST) branch committee of the Chhatra Dal. At the same time, it has been informed that a new committee of the university branch will be announced soon.

This information was given in a press release issued with the approval of Central Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir on Tuesday.

The release, signed by Central Chhatra Dal Office Secretary (Vice President rank) Md. Jahangir Alam, said that as per the decision of the Central Parliament, the committee of Nobi Prabi branch Chhatra Dal has been dissolved and a new committee will be announced soon.

The notification said that on the instructions of Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir, the current committee of Noakhali University of Science and Technology Chhatra Dal has been declared dissolved. At the same time, a new committee of the unit will be announced soon.

When asked about the attack, Hasibul Hossain, general secretary of the recently defunct university Chhatra Dal, said, "There was a clash between students of the Nobi Prabi campus and outsiders. A Chhatra Dal leader brought some outsiders and attacked the students of the campus with domestic weapons. The clash occurred due to a personal dispute. The clash started on Monday night."

A press release signed by Nobiprobi Assistant Director (Information and Public Relations) Iftekhar Hossain said that the university administration has formed an investigation committee into the incident that took place between students on Tuesday afternoon. The release further said that the committee has been formed to properly investigate and report on the incidents that took place between students of Bhasha Shaheed Abdus Salam Hall and Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Malek Ukil Hall on the night of August 17 and Tuesday.

The three-member investigation committee has Nobiprobi Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Hasan Uddin as the convener. The Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof Dr. Mohammad Mohinuzzaman is a member. And the university's Proctor Professor AFM Arifur Rahman has been made the member secretary. The investigation committee has been asked to submit the investigation report within the next three working days.

Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NUST) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Golam Rabbani said that whoever is involved in this incident will be brought to justice. At the same time, the university's security has been strengthened.
