The two-day 'VOB Job Fair', an initiative of 'Voice of Business', the magazine publishing organization of the Faculty of Business Studies, Dhaka University, has started onSunday at the premises of the Faculty of Business Studies. Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Abdus Salam inaugurated the fair as the chief guest.

Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, Professor Dr. Mahmud Osman Imam and Managing Director and CEO of Pubali Bank, Mohammad Ali, spoke as special guests at the inaugural ceremony. Ishraq Farhan Bhuiyan, Editor-in-Chief of Voice of Business, delivered the welcome address.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Abdus Salam thanked the various companies participating in the job fair and said that through such an event, students will be able to know about their activities and prepare themselves according to the needs of the workplace.

The inaugural day included a visit to the booths of various corporate organizations, an HR panel discussion on current recruitment trends and workplace skills, a 'mock aptitude test' and 'FGD session' for students. Tomorrow, a special session and mock interview session for sponsors will be held from 10 am to 6 pm.

The fair will be open to all students of Dhaka University, including the Faculty of Business Studies. Students interested in participating in the mock aptitude test, FGD, and mock interview sessions can register by submitting their CVs through the official registration form.

Top recruitment booths include Citibank, Pubali Bank, Bank Asia, Apex, IDLC Finance, New Zealand Dairy, Renata PLC, Coca-Cola, Concord, Transcom, bKash, Commercial Bank of Ceylon, Jotun Bangladesh, LafargeHolcim Bangladesh PLC, MetLife and BRAC Bank.
