Workshop in search of sustainable solutions in.Shyamnagar

In response to increasing coastal salinity driven by climate change, a workshop titled “Soil, Water, Life: Realities of Saline Coasts and Sustainable Solutions” was held in Shyamnagar, Satkhira, to encourage locally based knowledge and farmer-adjacent sustainable initiatives.
On Tuesday morning, the workshop was conducted at the house of Kakli Rani in Pakhrataliya village, Burtigowalani Union. Participants from various backgrounds, including farmers, women, youth representatives, local elected officials, and teachers, joined the event.
Aflona Rani Mistri, a National Agriculture Award-winning farmer, and Gobind Mandal, the supervisor of Shyfolkati Agroecology Learning Center, spoke about the current state of coastal soil and water.
