NU main campus students can enrol in nearby colleges

The Ministry of Education recently put an embargo on admission of students at undergraduate level on the main campus of the National University.
The Secondary and Higher Education Division under the ministry issued the directive in a letter sent to the NU vice-chancellor on 23 May. Now, in a fresh directive issued on Thursday, the education ministry said the students already enrolled on the NU main campus can admit into nearby colleges based on their qualifications and preferences.
In the directive signed by joint secretary Md Parvez Hasan of Higher Education Division, it was said that the student admission process at NU main campus was banned as directed by the president and the chancellor of the university.
