Naimul Haque Bhuiyan Holds Views Exchange Meeting Ahead of Chandina Municipality Election Pledges to Build a Modern, Developed and Citizen-Friendly Municipality

Ahead of the upcoming Chandina Municipality election, a views exchange meeting was held on the initiative of potential mayoral candidate Md. Naimul Haque Bhuiyan on Friday (September 18).

The meeting was held from 3:00 pm until evening at the Chandiyara Eidgah ground in Chandina. Local businessmen, social workers, political and social figures, and people from different professions participated in the programme.

During the meeting, participants discussed various issues concerning the municipality, including roads, drainage, waterlogging, cleanliness, civic services and overall development of the area.

The programme began with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Hafez Mizanur Rahman, Imam. Imon Aised, a central member and law student, delivered the welcome speech.

The meeting was presided over by Haji Abdul Mannan. Potential mayoral candidate Md. Naimul Haque Bhuiyan was also present, along with prominent residents, businessmen and social workers from different areas of Chandina Municipality.

Among others, Abdur Rob, councillor, businessman and social worker; Abdul Aziz Naim; Abdul Kader, noted businessman; Liton Bhuiyan, noted businessman and social worker; Sohel Sarker; Md. Tuhin of Bara Gobindapur; Md. Zahir; and Md. Emdad of Bara Gobindapur spoke at the meeting.

Farukul Alam Bhuiyan, Rafiqul Islam of Barkait, Moniruzzaman Monir, noted businessmen and other local dignitaries were also present.

Speakers at the meeting said planned initiatives should be taken to ensure the overall development of Chandina Municipality and basic civic facilities for residents. They emphasized improving road communication, drainage systems, resolving waterlogging, maintaining cleanliness, improving water drainage, installing streetlights and strengthening civic services.

Potential mayoral candidate Md. Naimul Haque Bhuiyan said he wanted to build a planned, modern and citizen-friendly municipality by giving priority to the opinions and expectations of the people of Chandina.

He said that if elected as a public representative, he would work beyond political affiliations and social divisions to ensure services for all residents. He also emphasized transparency and accountability in development activities, along with regular consultations with citizens.

Local residents and businessmen raised various problems facing the municipality and shared their expectations with the potential mayoral candidate. Naimul Haque Bhuiyan listened attentively to their concerns and assured them that necessary steps would be taken to address the problems if he is elected.

The views exchange meeting continued from the afternoon until evening. The participation of people from different sections of the local community created a lively atmosphere throughout the programme.
