MP Mosharraf fulfilled promises made to voters during election
MP Mosharraf fulfilled the promise made to the voters during the election by forming a new union named '13 No. Hajipur Union Parishad' in Kalapara, Patuakhali. This new union parishad has been formed by dividing No. 5 Nilganj Union Parishad. With the signing of the final approval letter for the formation of the new union by Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, the number of union parishads in Kalapara upazila has increased to 13, municipalities 2, and thana 2.
It is learnt that Alhaj ABM Mosharraf Hossain, who won the 13th National Parliament election from Patuakhali-4 constituency by a huge margin, has kept the promises he made to the voters of Nilganj during his election campaign. This has spread a festive atmosphere in the villages included in the new union.
Nilganj Union No. 5, which was reorganized by dividing Nilganj Union, has been reorganized with 25 villages including Nilganj, Nabipur, Kumir Mara, Tungibaria and some parts of Sonatala Mouza. In addition, Hajipur Union No. 13 has been newly formed with 24 villages including Umedpur, Hajipur and some parts of Sonatala Mouza. The population of Nilganj Union is 21,980. Males are 10,744 and females are 11,236. The population of Hajipur Union is 20,600. Males are 10,069 and females are 10,531.
Nilganj Union BNP Secretary Advocate Md. Abul Hossain said, 'During the parliamentary election campaign, the people of Nilganj demanded a new union. Our leader ABM Mosharraf fulfilled that demand of the voters within a short time after becoming an MP.'
Alhaj ABM Mosharraf Hossain MP told the media, 'I have already completed the work of dividing Nilganj Union to fulfill my election promises given to the voters after being elected as an MP, which will be notified in the government gazette by next Sunday. In addition, the declaration of Mahipur as an upazila is in the final stage. A health complex has been established in Rangabali, new additional district and sessions judges have been appointed in Kalapara, and the Joint District Judge's Court has been transferred from Patuakhali to Kalapara.'
ABM Mosharraf further said, 'For the development of road communication, 50 km of new road construction work has already been approved with an allocation of 55 crore taka, of which 3.5 km. Construction work is underway. 12 bridges have been proposed. Two of which have been approved, and the design work of five major ones is underway. In addition, the approval of road development and maintenance work including the construction of two new cyclone shelters with an allocation of 100 crore taka under the B-Safe project is under process.'
