Zero tolerance policy against corruption has been announced by Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

She said that if any official of the Department of Environment and Forest is involved in any kind of corruption, irregularity and negligence for environmental and forest conservation and development, exemplary legal action will be taken against them.

She said that the forest of the country should be kept like a forest and the concerned officials should be dedicated to the improvement of the quality of the country's environment.

The Environment Adviser said these this while speaking as the chief guest at the first visit to the Forest Department and and view exchange meeting with the officials on Wednesday afternoon.

Rizwana Hasan said that the Wildlife Crime Control Unit of the Forest Department should be monitor Bird Market at the Katabon of the Capital regularly. Here legal action should be taken against all types of illegal bird trade and against traders who are cruel to birds. She urged to take cooperation from students. She also urged the concerned to set the boundaries of the forest on a priority basis to stop the invasion of the forest.

Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Additional Secretaries, Chief Conservator Forests of the Forest Department and all the officials of the Forest Department were present in the view exchange meeting.

Earlier in the morning, the Environment Advisor visited the Department of Environment and interacted with the officials. During this time, She gave instructions to take effective steps to stop the cutting of hills and hills, river pollution. She issued instructions to ensure transparency and accountability in the activities of the Directorate including issuing environmental clearance. She said that in order to settle the complaints of the people at the earliest, the remediation system should be strengthened. Urging the officials to increase their skills, the advisor said that people's confidence should be restored through visible fruitful work.

In the exchange meeting, the Environment Advisor listened to the problems, possibilities and challenges of the Department of Environment and Forests and assured to take necessary measures.
