It has been alleged that the RMO of Amtali Upazila Health Complex, Dr. Tanveer Shaharia, gave the medical report in exchange of money.

Md. Mahbub Alam Tuhin of North Jharakhali village of Taltali upazila made this complaint in a press conference at Amtali Journalist Union office on Tuesday. He demanded to take action against Dr. Tanveer Shaharia and hospital accountant Md. Anwarul Kabir.

According to the press conference, Mahbub Alam Tuhin, son of Md. Azizul Haque Sikder of North Jharakhali village of Taltali Upazila, was seriously stabbed with sharp weapons by neighbors Fazlul Haque Bachchu, Rezaul Islam, Md. Shanu Mia and Mojibur Rahman Khokon Howlader, Md. Milan Gazi and Shaheen Howlader on the night of August 5. hurt That night Mahbub Alam Tuhin was rescued by his relatives and admitted to Amtali Upazila Health Complex.

The RMO of that hospital, Dr. Tanveer Shahriar treated him and sent him to Patuakhali Medical College Hospital for better treatment. Barguna has filed a case in the name of six people as defamation plaintiffs in the speedy trial court on September 2. The investigating officer of that case is SI Gazi Mahtab Uddin of Taltali police station. The investigating officer of the case applied for a medical report at the Amtali Upazila Health Complex on September 3. In view of that application, the RMO of Amtali Upazila Health Complex, Dr. Tanveer Shahriar Hospital's accounting officer, Anwarul Kabir, gave a false report in exchange of money. Mahbubul Alam Tuhin was admitted to the hospital on August 5 night but Dr. Tanveer Shaharia's injury report mentioned September 5 night. Also, without showing the actual injuries, Daysara submitted the report showing the injuries. The victim patient Mahbub Alam Tuhin held a press conference at Amtali Journalist Union office on Tuesday, demanding punishment against Dr. Tanveer Shahriar and the accounting officer involved in the incident.

Amtali Upazila Health Complex Accounts Officer Md. Anwarul Kabir denied taking the money and said, "I have nothing to do with the emergency department of the hospital." RMO of Amtali Upazila Health Complex Dr. Tanveer Shaharia denied providing medical report in exchange of money and said, I have given the report as per what was written in the patient's anti-book of the hospital.

Amtali Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ten Mong said, the matter was informed to the District Civil Surgeon. Action will be taken after getting the documents.

Barguna Civil Surgeon Dr. Pradeep Chandra Mondal said, I was informed the matter and instructed the concerned upazila health and family planning officer to investigate into the matter.
