Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, demanded that Sheikh Hasina and all her so-called fascist allies be arrested immediately and brought to justice, calling for them to be sentenced to death. He further urged the interim government to remove individuals associated with fascist practices from the administration and replace them with honest, skilled, and just personnel.
Speaking as the chief guest at a youth conference organized by the Youth Forum of Narayanganj on Friday at Children’s Park in Khanpur, he made these remarks. Earlier that morning, at 9:30 am, a colorful rally advocating health protection, clean recreation, and a drug-free society was organized by the Youth Forum, starting in front of the Narayanganj Press Club. The rally paraded through the city and ended at Children’s Park.
In his speech, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan also dismissed the idea of Sheikh Hasina returning to the country. "We often hear through various media that she will suddenly return to the country. Even a madman wouldn’t believe that. With control over all government forces, including the helmet league, terrorist league, and youth league, she fled, leaving her party members behind. Now, some people are speculating about her return. Let me tell you, she will never come back, and those indulging in such speculations will face consequences."
Referring to the executions of his party leaders, he said, “Many of our leaders, including Shaheed Matiur Rahman Nizami and Shaheed Ali Ahsan Mujahid, were executed. But none of them fled. Even Mir Quasem Ali, who was in the USA and aware of the cases against him, returned home bravely, knowing he committed no crime. They stood firm on the gallows. But why did you flee, Sheikh Hasina? Because you know the extent of your crimes. Without escaping, you wouldn’t have survived.”
He added that the same tribunal that sentenced Jamaat leaders to death has now issued arrest warrants against Sheikh Hasina and her associates.
The event was presided over by Muhammad Jamal Hossain, president of the Youth Forum of Narayanganj. Other notable attendees included Jamaat's Youth Wing and Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Central Executive Committee member Saiful Islam Khan Milon, Central Advisory Council member Maulana Moinuddin Ahmad, and Narayanganj Metropolitan Jamaat-e-Islami leaders, among others.
