
Maulana Abdul Halim visits storm-hit areas in Rangpur

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Assistant Secretary General and Rangpur-Dinajpur Regional Director Maulana Abdul Halim visited the Boishakhi storm destroyed area in Gangachara,of Rangpur district on Monday.
About two thousand houses, trees and crops in Gangachara Upazila of Rangpur district have been destroyed by the recent Boishakhi storm. As a result, thousands of people have become homeless and they are passing their days under the open sky.
When the local organization informed the central organization, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Assistant Secretary General and Rangpur-Dinajpur Regional Director Maulana Abdul Halim rushed to inquire about the overall situation of these homeless people. He visited the houses of the affected families and made an overall inquiry, provided cash assistance to each family and advised everyone to be patient. He led everyone in prayers and supplications in the court of the Almighty.
At the time of visiting the place Present Rangpur District Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary Maulana Enamul Haque, Rangpur Metropolitan Assistant Secretary Janneta Professor Raihan Siraji, Gangachara Upazila Ameer Maulana Nayebuzzaman, Secretary Maulana Saiful Islam, Upazila Adarsha Shikkhok Federation President Asadul Haque Master, Upazila Publicity and Media Department In-charge Md. Ashraful Alam, Sadar Union Ameer Md. Monisur Rahman, and local Jamaat leaders were present.
