Law, order committee meet held : 284 crimes committed in Barishal in Dec

The Barishal District Law and Order Committee meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner on Sunday morning with Deputy Commissioner Md. Delwar Hossain in the chair.
It was informed in the meeting that school and college students will not be able to stay in Bells Park after 8 pm. If they do, action will be taken against them.
The lease of the ferry ghat in Mirganj, Babuganj will be canceled. For this reason, steps have already been taken. In addition, a drive is underway across the district regarding drugs.
It was also informed that 119 crimes were committed in the Barisal Metropolitan Area in December. Among these, there is one incident each of robbery, banditry and rape.
In addition, a total of 119 crimes including 2 murders, 3 armed robbery, 8 thefts, 7 women's torture, 2 kidnappings, 33 drugs, 3 child abuse and 58 other crimes have been committed in the Barisal Metropolitan Area.
On the other hand, 165 crimes have been committed in 10 upazilas of Barisal district. Out of these, 1 robbery, 1 murder, armed robbery, 6 thefts, 14 women's torture, 32 drugs, 1 police attack, 1 speedy trial, 6 rapes, 102 other crimes, there are 165 crimes in Rabisal district.
Barishal Chief of Army , RAB, Superintendent of Police, along with senior officials of the administration and members of the District Law and Order Committee were present in the meeting.
