Staff Correspondent, Narayanganj

A training workshop was held for 91 newly appointed government legal officers at the Narayanganj District and Sessions Judge Court and the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court. At the end of the training, crests were handed over to all legal officers. The day-long training workshop took place on Saturday on the third floor of the Narayanganj District Bar Association.

The event was presided over by Advocate Sarkar Humayun Kabir, President of the District Bar Association, and conducted by Advocate Abul Kalam Azad Jakir, the Public Prosecutor (PP) of the court. The chief guest was District and Sessions Judge Abu Shamim Azad, while special guests included Judge Hasanul Islam of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal, Chief Judicial Magistrate Rabiul Islam, Senior Judicial Magistrate Haidar Ali, Deputy Attorney General of the Bangladesh Supreme Court Barrister Mohedi Hasan, and Advocate HM Anwar Pradhan, General Secretary of the Bar Association.

A notice signed by Deputy Solicitor (GP-PP) Md. Mahroof Hossain stated that all previously appointed legal officers in these courts were relieved of their duties, and the newly appointed lawyers were temporarily assigned to their respective positions based on reports on their professional skills, experience, and integrity submitted by the District and Sessions Judge and District Magistrate of Narayanganj.

Advocate Abul Kalam Azad Jakir was appointed as the Public Prosecutor (PP) of the District and Sessions Judge Court, while Advocate Khandaker Abul Kalam Azad was appointed as the Government Pleader (GP), and Advocate Khurshid Alam Molla was appointed as the Special Public Prosecutor (PP) for the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal.
