The 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal was celebrated in Kuliarchar, Kishoreganj, through a cleanliness drive and various social welfare initiatives on Tuesday.

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Azhar Uddin Litton, leaders and activists of the organization took to the streets to clean garbage and waste from the alleys and roads across the municipal area.

Earlier at around 12:00 PM, a colorful rally was brought out in the town. After parading through key streets of the municipality, the rally concluded in front of the Kuliarchar Upazila BNP office, followed by a discussion meeting to mark the occasion.

Addressing the meeting, Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Azhar Uddin Litton said, "Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called upon all leaders and activists of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal to stand by the public, eliminate dengue mosquitoes, clean waste, and keep the environment clean. He urged us to bring a positive change to political trends, keep pace with the modern world, and play a responsible role in building clean cities by engaging in social and public welfare activities alongside routine organizational work."

Upazila BNP General Secretary M A Hannan, Municipal BNP General Secretary Shahadat Hossain Shah Alam, along with leaders and activists of BNP, Jubo Dal, and associate bodies, were present at the event.

Leaders stated that the cleanliness program was undertaken alongside political activities with the aim of doing something positive for local residents. They expressed hope that such initiatives would build awareness among the general public to keep their respective neighborhoods clean.

The organization announced a two-day program spanning October 27 and 28, which includes cleanliness drives and tree-planting campaigns.
