Ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the Bangladesh Army, along with the police started performing duties at important points on the country's main roads since last Tuesday to ease the suffering of people heading home and ensure safe travel.

As part of this program, about 40 army members of the Bhuiyapur Army Camp are on duty at various important points on the Elenga-Bhuiyapur-Jamuna Bridge East and Tarakandi-Bhuiyapur-Elenga regional highway in Tangail district on March 27  noon to prevent additional traffic pressure and possible criminal activities.

Today's drive was led by Lieutenant Sayem Khan Alif of Bhuiyapur Army Camp. Bhuiyapur Police Station SI Suman Sangyi along with police members and members of the army camp were present.

This time, to share the joy of Eid with family and relatives, the general public should make this journey pleasant. For this purpose, the Bangladesh Army has requested all bus owners' associations and drivers to refrain from driving unfit vehicles, driving at high speed, stopping vehicles to pick up passengers at random, changing lanes unnecessarily and driving while tired.

In addition, it is making a special request to all market traders located along the Elenga-Bhuiyapur-Jamuna Bridge East and Tarakandi-Bhuiyapur-Elenga regional highways not to narrow the road by setting up floating shops on both sides of the highway.

Lieutenant Sayem Khan Alif of Bhuiyapur Army Camp said, the army will use its magisterial powers to the fullest extent to deal with situations that disrupt the Eid journey of people heading home. 

Bhuiyapur Police Station is working tirelessly with us to stop any kind of violence and criminal activities.  Keeping in mind the goal of 'Being on the side of the country everywhere in war and peace', the Bangladesh Army has been by the side of the people in the past, is at present, and is determined to be so in the future.
