In line with Saudi Arabia Eid celebrated in 14 villages in Baphal

About 26,000 Muslims in 14 villages of Bauphal upazila of Patuakhali celebrated Eid a day earlier in line with Saudi Arabia.

The first and main congregation of Eid was held at 9:30 am on Sunday at the Shah Sufi Momtazia Jame Mosque in Uttar
Chandrapara of the upazila.
The Imam and Khatib of Shah Sufi Momtazia Jame Mosque, Hafez Maulana Md. Rashed, led the prayer and delivered the
sermon. Mosque president Ali Ahmed Khan said that according to the Hanifi madhhab, when the moon of the month of
Shawwal is seen in the western sky and its news reaches the eastern part, it becomes obligatory for everyone to celebrate Eid.
Therefore, in line with Saudi Arabia, we are celebrating Eid today like every year. In addition, families from Upazila Boga,
Banajora, Bamnikathi, Dhaurabhanga, Chandpal, Sabpura, Rajnagar, Shaplakhali (Old), Shaplakhali (New), Kanakdia, Surdi,
Dwipasha, Gosinga, Madanpura, Chandrapara, Majhpara, Tanterkathi and Kashipur villages celebrated the holy Eid-ul-Fitr
festival today.
There is joy in the villages on the occasion of Eid. They greet each other with Eid greetings. All of them are followers of
Konestbal Pir.
