Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central assistant secretary general and the Director of Rangpur- Dinajpur region Maulana Abdul Halim has called on the countrymen to stand by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami to build a just, fair, beautiful, humane and harmonious Bangladesh.

On Wednesday Maulana Abdul Halim made this call in his speech as the chief guest while distributing blankets to more than 500 needy people at Barabari Boyez Uddin High School ground, Ward No. 14, under Rangpur metropolis in the morning. The program was presided over by Hazirhat Thana Ameer Ameer Belal Hossain and the program was moderated by Kotali Thana Ameer Maulana Golam Kibria.

He also said, "We want to build a Bangladesh where teachers, workers and common people will all enjoy their rights. We will get respect based on his honesty, ability and merit. The son of a rickshaw driver will become a university teacher based on merit. If a son of a street sweeper wants to get an education and move forward, he will be given an opportunity.”

Abdul Halim said, “The state has a lot of resources with which all people can live well, but the resources of the state; those who are in charge of the state eat them up. However, if Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami) come to power, we will not let that happen, we will not take interest, but we will make arrangements so that interest does not happen. We will not take bribes ourselves; we will not give opportunities to those who take it. We will not commit corruption ourselves; we will build resistance against those who do with the countrymen. We will also be vocal against terrorism and extortion.”

At the blanket distributing ceremony, Rangpur Metropolitan Ameer and central working committee member vice principal ATM Azam Khan was present as special guest. Among others, Secretary of Rangpur City Jamaat Anwarul Haque Kajal, Publicity and Media Affairs Secretary Advocate Kawsar Ali were also present.
