Human chain in Phulbari demanding arrest, trial of killers of college students

The parents, teachers and students of the Phulbari Degree College in Kurigram formed a human chain protesting the killing of a student and demanding quick arrest and trial of the killers.
The human chain was held at the college gate at 2 pm on Sunday to demand the punishment of the murderers of Hamidul Islam, son of Shafiqul Islam, son of Shafiqul Islam, a third year degree candidate of Bhangamore Union of Upazila. At the end of the human chain, the memorandum was given to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer and the officer in charge of Phulbari Police Station.
Aminul Islam Riju, Assistant Professor Azad Hossain, Lecturer Arabur Rahman Pasha, Zakaria Mia, first year degree student Sujan Mia spoke in a short rally during the human chain.
It is to be noted that the student named Hamidul Islam was brutally murdered at his home by a group of robbers in the night of November 4. Even after 20 days of the murder, the police still could not unravel the mystery.
