Human chain in Kurigram protesting attacks on women's football games in different parts of country

Rallies, human chains and protest rallies were held in Kurigram to protest attacks and vandalism on women's football games in Hakimpur and Joypurhat of Dinajpur district.
On Wednesday , various stakeholders of the Community-Based Climate Tolerance and Women's Empowerment (KRIA) project, initiated by the non-governmental organization Mohideb Jubo Samaj Kalyan Samity, participated in the protest in the Chakenda Khanpara area of Jatrapur Union of Kurigram Sadar Upazila.
Senior journalist and President of Gender Equality and Climate Alliance Committee Shafi Khan, member of the JICA Committee journalist Touhidul Islam Baksi Thanda, project coordinator of the KRIA project Lutfar Rahman, project officer Ratnarani, assistant headmaster of Jatrapur Girls' School Sheikh Md. Kashem Ali, Assistant Teacher Shri Ratan Chandra, Student Jenny Akhter, President of Khanpara Women's Group Mrs. Nibala Rani and President of Jatrapur Union Climate Action Group Md. Abul Hossain.
At this time, the speakers said that sports and entertainment are a fundamental right of women. This right has been obstructed by a class of people through attacks and vandalism. In this, women are being pushed backward. Everyone needs a positive perspective for the development and advancement of women in the field of sports, entertainment and free thinking.
Through which women, women's families and the country will move towards progress. The attention of the administration was drawn to take legal action against those who are creating obstacles in the development of women.
