People have become fed up with the various controversial activities of an organization named 'Koyra Sangbadik Forum'.

They have been allegedly harassing various people by threatening them and extorting money. For fear of self-respect, they tolerate torture in silence, even being forced to accept controversial honors against their will. Various professionals and common people of Koyra appealed to the Divisional Commissioner of Khulna on May 2 to take action against their misdeeds.

According to the application and local sources, they are embezzling money through black mail by spreading false propaganda in the name of local individuals and organizations on various unregistered online sites including Facebook, WhatsApp in the name of journalist organization. Besides, without taking permission, he made stickers and posted them on Facebook with awards for idols and geniuses.

Awarding the title of genius without any verification. These goons are grabbing huge sums of money from various individuals and institutions in the name of welcome. This cycle has been extorting money by holding various individuals and organizations hostage under the guise of awards. Many voluntary organizations are forced to take honors even if they don't want to.

The head of this circle is Tariq Litu, son of Hafizur Rahman of Gobra village. During his student life, in 2016, he was expelled from the residential hall of his educational institution Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology (Bashemurbiprobi) for life and temporary expulsion from academics due to incitement of militancy and un-journalism.

A businessman named Mizanur Rahman of Maheshwaripur union of the upazila filed a general diary against him at Koyra police station on January 18. Mizanur Rahman's complaint that he demanded the subscription by showing fear.

On April 18, the organization organized the Gunijan Celebration-2024 program with the local parliament member as the chief guest and some Awamig leaders as special guests. But the member of parliament did not attend the event after learning negative information about them. Many people did not go to receive the award in that event.

The leader of a voluntary organization that received an award this year, who did not want to be named, said that seeing negative comments about them on Facebook is disgusting. They had no desire to receive honors from a bogus organization like them. But if we don't listen to them, our self-esteem will be disturbed. Therefore, I am forced to take it despite my reluctance.

He wants to award a medal to a student who passed the university as the best poet and writer last year. He is the author of several books and a renowned cover artist. When he refused to accept the medal, he was threatened and harassed in various ways.

In these controversial activities, the image of the real professional journalists is being damaged and the common people are getting confused.
