A woman named Suraiya Khatun (54) was allegedly killed in RAB-14 camp custody in Bhairab of Kishoreganj on Friday evening.

After 12 hours of the incident, in the presence of Executive Magistrate Israt Jahan, the police prepared the preliminary condition report of the body and sent it to Kishoreganj Hospital morgue for autopsy.

On Friday evening, the members of RAB took Suraiya Khatun to Bhairab Government Hospital while duty doctors declared her death.

The victim Suraiya Khatun, wife of Azizul Islam in Barunakandi ( Chandipasha) of Nandail upazila in Mymensingh.

The District Magistrate (DM), also Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kishoreganj, Md.Abul kalam Azad told the New Nation that, on reviving information, the Executive Magistrate of Kishoreganj Collectorate, Israt Jahan has been sent to prepare a report on the conditions of the deceased. An autopsy will be conducted after the autopsy. In view of this, legal action will be taken and concerned department will investigate the matter, DM added.

The Upazila Health and Family Planing Officer (UHFO) dr.Bulbul Ahamed said, RAB members brought a woman named Suraiya Khatun to the upazila health centre on Friday night. After bringing him, the duty doctors declared death

The Police and locals, said that , last Thursday night, Suraiya Khatun (54) and her son Taijul Islam (23) were arrested by RAB as accused in a murder case with Mymensingh's Nandail Police Stationn.

In Bhairab's RAB -14 Camp Incharge Captain , Fahim Faisal told the New Nation that, two accused in the murder case were kept on the custody after their arrest,when she fell ill, while she was taken to Bhairab Government Hospital, where duty doctor declared dead.
The Executive Magistrate Israt Jahan said, ' On the order of the District Magistrate (DM) in Kishoreganj, the body of the female , accused Suraiya who is in RAB custody, has been prepared. After that, the body was sent to Shaheed. Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital (SSNI MCH) morgue for autopsy.

The cause of death will be known after the post-mortem report Victim's husband Azizul Islam said, My daughter - in - law Rekha Akhter committed suicide with a. noose. Still his family sued, and we are dealing with that case legally. But last Thursday night RAB members arrested my wife Suraiya Khatun. My wife died at RAB custody, torture and killed. I want Justice.

The Investigation Officer (IO) of Nandail Model Police Station , Sub-inspector Nazrul Islam said that, before the murder case was filed, a case of non- death was registered in the Police Station. Rekha's Father in law Azizul Hasan the UD case. Basically they were called to the police to investigate a case of death. They could not reach the police station
