Govt implementing Family Card Programme to empower women, fulfil election pledges : State Minister Yasser Khan Chowdhury

State Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Member of Parliament for Mymensingh-9 (Nandail), Yasser Khan Chowdhury, has said that the government is implementing the Family Card Programme to promote women's economic self-reliance and empowerment while fulfilling its electoral commitments.
He made the remarks as the chief guest at a workers' conference organized by the Chandipasha Union BNP at the Bashhati High School playground in Nandail on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, the State Minister said the Family Card Programme aims to strengthen the social safety net by ensuring that government assistance reaches deserving families in a transparent and accountable manner. He noted that the initiative would play a significant role in empowering women, improving family welfare, and enhancing the socio-economic condition of low-income households.
He also called upon party leaders and activists to remain united and work together to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level. Emphasizing the importance of public engagement, he urged party workers to highlight the government's development initiatives and continue serving the people with dedication.
The conference was conducted by Mizanur Rahman Liton, Senior Joint Convener of Nandail Upazila BNP.
Among the special guests were Motahar Hossain Talukdar, Chairman of the Mymensingh Development Authority and Joint Convener of Mymensingh North District BNP; Enamul Qadir, Member Secretary of Nandail Upazila BNP; Joint Conveners Babu Pallab Roy and Umar Faruk Nomani; Acting Convener of Nandail Municipal BNP Nazrul Islam Fakir; Jubo Dal leaders Kamruzzaman Russell, Akram Hossain Ferdous, Shakil Mahmud, and other local party leaders.
Hundreds of party leaders, activists, and supporters from different wards of Chandipasha Union joined the conference in separate processions, creating a vibrant atmosphere at the venue. Speakers stressed the need for unity, organizational strength, and continued grassroots engagement to achieve the party's political goals and effectively serve the people.
