Fire in bus, driver's assistant killed in Tungibari

Sahabir (14), driver's assistant teenager, who was sleeping inside, died after being burnt by fire in the bus standing at Tongibari in Munshiganj.
This fire broke out in a bus of Gangchil Paribahan on the bridge near Baligaon market of the upazila late on Tuesday night. The deceased is the son of Sohel Mia of Palgaon village of Lauhjong upazila next to Sahab.
Deputy Assistant Director of Munshiganj Fire Service. Shafiqul Islam said that two units of Lauhjong and Tongibari Fire Service went and brought the fire under control. The helper slept inside the bus. He died of burns all over his body. There was no electrical connection in the bus.'
Shafiqul Islam also said that usually the driver-helper sleeps by lighting the coil in the bus. However, an investigation is underway to find out whether someone started the fire or how it started.
