Child Rafi dies of vomiting in Satkhira school

Child Rafi (8) fell to his death while going to school in Shyamnagar of Satkhira due to headache and vomiting. He is a 1st class student of Joynagar Pre-Cadet School of Upazila.

His father's name is Anisur Rahman Ripon Gazi. His mother works in BRAC. Their home is in Fultala village of Koira upazila in Khulna. Rafi used to live with his mother in Shyamnagar due to his mother's job.

Jainagar Pre-Cadet School Headmaster Abdul Wahab said Rafi, a class one student, felt a headache after coming to school. After that he vomited two or three times and lost consciousness. When he was quickly brought to Shyamnagar Hospital, the emergency department doctor declared him dead.

Arajita, a female policeman on duty at the Shyamnagar police station, the child's aunt, said that Rafi went to school at 9 am on Tuesday . Then he felt a headache. Then started vomiting. At one point he fainted. He was also given first aid.

Dr. Shakir Hossain, duty medical officer of Shyamnagar Health Complex, said that the child died before being brought to the hospital.

Shyamnagar police station OC Md. Humayun Kabir Molya confirmed the matter.
