The Farmer Card program has been officially launched in Tajumuddin Upazila of Bhola to provide government agricultural assistance and services to farmers in a simpler, faster and more transparent manner. Through this initiative, thousands of farmers in the upazila will be able to avail the benefits of modern agricultural services, government incentives, subsidies and various developmental programs more easily.

The inauguration of the Farmer Card was held on Thursday in Koralmara Block of Wards 7, 8 and 9 of Shambhupur Union of the upazila.

Tajumuddin UNO Boni Amin was present at the time. Upazila Agricultural Officer Md. Ibrahim Asad, Tajumuddin Police Station OC Mizanur Rahman, former Chairman of Shambhupur Union Parishad Alhaj Zakir Hossain Howlader, Bhola District Jubo Dal Co-Secretary Gias Uddin Panchayat, Shambhupur Union BNP President Kamruzzaman Jantu Howlader, General Secretary Shakhawat Howlader and leaders of various social, political and organiza- tions were present.

At the inauguration ceremony, speakers said that the launch of the agricultural card will create a reliable database of genuine farmers. Through this, it will be possible to ensure transparency, accountability and correct selection of beneficiaries in the distribution of government incentives, high-quality seeds, fertilizers, agricultural machinery and other assistance.

The speakers also said that the agricultural card system will make it easier to verify the identity of farmers and the benefits of various government projects, subsidies and services related to agriculture can be quickly delivered to their doorsteps.

Local farmers expect that through the successful implementation of the agricultural card program, digital services will further expand in the agricultural sector and real farmers will definitely get their fair rights and government benefits on time.
