Dinajpur will be an unbreakable bond of communal harmony. Stating that Dinajpur Sadar-3 constituency MP Syed Jahangir Alam said, there will be no religious differences in Dinajpur. Here, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, and Christians will practice their own religions as they wish. Everyone will practice their religion without hindrance. The bond of Hindu-Muslim-Buddhist-Christian harmony has been unbreakable for ages. Our Dinajpur is a unique example of harmony. We want this example to remain unbreakable for a lifetime.
He said these in his speech as the chief guest during the inauguration of the Rath Yatra from Raisaheb Bari-Gunjabari ISKCON Temple in Dinajpur city on Thursday.
One of the main religious festivals of the Sanatan Dharma followers in Dinajpur, the Rath Yatra of Sri Sri Giridharijiu Jagannath Dev, has been held with colorful arrangements and religious fervor. When the Rath Yatra started, the entire area became bustling with the procession of thousands of devotees and pilgrims in a festive atmosphere.
A festive atmosphere was created throughout Dinajpur city surrounding the Rath Yatra.
According to Hindu religious beliefs, this traditional Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is held every year on the second day of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Ashadh. On this occasion, the organizers have arranged various religious programmes.
Among others present at the inaugural ceremony of the Rath Yatra were Dinajpur District Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Abdul Hamid, District BNP General Secretary Bakhtiar Ahmed Kochi, Raisaheb Bari Debottar State Agent Chitta Ghosh, Raisaheb Bari Loknath Temple Committee General Secretary Manabendra Das Manoj, leaders of various religious organizations, local dignitaries, political leaders and a large number of devotees and pilgrims.
