Chattogram's Hathazari Upazila Fire Service Ambulance is providing some kind of service. That too gets wasted two to three times a month. In this situation, it is not possible to send the patients to different medical centers when they are unconscious. 18 km of patients suffering from various calamities due to road accidents and coming to seek emergency services from various conflicts. To go to the district town by crossing the road, one has to suffer a lot.

According to Upazila Fire Service sources, patients are being served by an ambulance. It also gets spoiled several times a month. Then patients have to resort to alternative means. The biggest problem is the relatives of the patients.

Mohiuddin, the patient's relative, said that in any disaster, if the patient's condition worsens, he is asked to be transferred to the hospital in the district city immediately. But the ambulance is not available. Many relatives take patients in CNG-powered autorickshaws or easybikes. Only one ambulance for lakhs of people in an upazila is also dilapidated. A new ambulance needs to be allocated here.

When talking to Senior Station Officer of Hathazari Fire Service, Mohammad Abdul Mannan, he said, we are providing service with only one old ambulance, sometimes we have to suffer on the way with this ambulance. While providing services, it is difficult to reach the disaster area, many times the ambulance stops midway while going to the disaster area.

The upazila residents requested the intervention of higher authorities for a new ambulance to improve the service quickly.
