Experimental train movement at 120-km speed over railway bridge on Jamuna

Trains are running at full speed today through the country's largest railway bridge built over the Jamuna river.
Experimentally this train will run tomorrow Monday also. Earlier, on November 26, a test train was run on the bridge at a maximum speed of 40- km but this time the train will run at full speed.
On Sunday (January 5) at 9:30 am, two trains with four coaches and one engine started running simultaneously from the Tangail and Sirajganj ends of the second experimental train. Later, the speed was gradually increased from 40 km. At one point, the two test trains were able to run at the desired speed of 120 kmph.
Rail Bridge Project Director Abu Fattah. Masudur Rahman said, on November 26, the train was run experimentally through the railway bridge at a maximum speed of 40 km. Today the train has started running on a trial basis with full speed. Trains will be tested at full speed on the railway bridge tomorrow and the faults will be identified.
Trial train movement If everything goes well, the railway bridge will be inaugurated very soon. The train will run through this railway bridge at a speed of 100 to 120 km. The Japanese company OTG and IHI Joint Venture is working as the contractor for the bridge.
