The Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission (BJSC) has published the final list of candidates recommended for the position of Assistant Judge in the 17th Bangladesh Judicial Service Examination. A total of 102 candidates have been selected, including eight graduates from Jagannath University (JnU).

The JnU graduates recommended for the position of Assistant Judge-Judicial Magistrate are Baishakhi Rani Karmakar, M. A. Umaier, Tanzina Elin, Choton Ahmed, Shanto Dev Roy Arn, Mamun Hossain, Mim Akter, and Mahmuda Akhi.

Confirming the matter, Professor Dr. S. M. Masum Billah, a faculty member of the Department of Law, stated, "Although Jagannath University's Law School is relatively young, we have managed to establish a strong position in the field of legal education."

"Among so many law schools across Bangladesh, eight of our graduates have been selected as Assistant Judges. The department's chairman and faculty members are extremely delighted. We wholeheartedly congratulate our students on this achievement."

Highlighting the challenges faced by the department, he further stated, "We operate within significant infrastructural limitations. Despite these challenges, our dedicated faculty members have worked tirelessly, and our students have achieved remarkable success. We hope our students will uphold justice with integrity and a commitment to serving the underprivileged."
