‘I resign to fulfil my commitment to July mass upsurge’: Nahid Islam

Nahid Islam, who resigned as Information and Broadcasting Adviser of the interim government, has said that he stepped down to take on a more active role on the streets in order to fulfil his commitment to the much-talked-about July mass upsurge.
Nahid, a key coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, said while addressing a press conference at the State Guest House Jamuna hours after his resignation on Tuesday.
