Discussion on 'Cruel July: Memory and Oblivion held ' at DU Modern Languages Institute

To mark the second anniversary of the historic July Uprising, a discussion titled 'Cruel July: Memory and Oblivion' was held at the Institute's auditorium on Tuesday at the initiative of the Institute of Modern Languages, Dhaka University. Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani was present as the chief guest at the event.
The discussion was chaired by Prof Mohammad Absar Kamal, Director of the Institute of Modern Languages, and the keynote address was presented by Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaduzzaman, Director of the International Mother Language Institute. The welcome address was delivered by Professor Dr. Mohammad Ansarul Alam.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani called on everyone to work together to keep the spirit of July alive. He said that Dhaka University has led all democratic movements in Bangladesh. In the July Uprising, students of this university were the main architects of the fall of fascism
