Dilapidated Amtali-Taltali regional road : Public sufferings mount, urgent renovation urged

Amtali-Taltali regional road is the only means of communication with coastal district Barguna Thousands of crackes have developed in 5- km road. At least a million people in the coastal upazilas are suffering. The victims have demanded quick road renovation.
It is learnt that the Fakirhat Fisheries landing center in Amtali-Taltali is a 5 km coastal regional road. The road is the only connection to the two upazilas. This road is being used by million people. It is also the only road to the Sonakata EcoPark and Fakirhat Fisheries landing center. Sonakata Eco-Park has been closed due to the poor condition of this road.
The government is losing the revenue . The road is 5 km from Manikjhuri to Kachupatra Bridge, 5 km from Kadaria Bazar to Harynbaria Bridge and Taltali Bridge to Fakirhat Fisheries landing center, 12 km of road and Khanakhand. There are big holes at a distance of 25-5 yards.
Local Raihan and Mazharul Islam said the road was turned into a pile. The car is causing the car to be caught in the car. Due to Khanakhand, the movement of vehicles by road has become inappropriate. Vehicles and people are traveling through the Khanakhand road at risk of life. Accidents are happening on the road every day.
On Friday, it was seen that the Amtali-Taltali regional road from Manikjhuri to Kachupatra Bridge, 5 km from Kadibaria Bazar to Harynbaria Bridge and Taltali Bridge to Fakirhat Fisheries. The brick-and-stone of the road came out and the ground went up. The wheel of the car is trapped in the holes . The road has become united with the weeping ground.
Taltali Upazila businessman Md Shamim Patwari said roads has become unfit for movement.
Shahidul Islam and Bahadar of Tariqata area said that the road has been filled with Khanakhand for the past one year.
Humayun Kabir, a businessman at Arapangasia Bazaar, said that two years of road construction, patholes has been turned into holes .
Motorcycle drivers Nazrul Islam, Rubel Mia and Shah Alam Talukder said that it was difficult to drive such a dilapidated road on the road. They demanded a quick road reform.
Bus, car drivers Mojibur Rahman and Abdus Salam said that due to the dread of the road, the vehicles were difficult to operate.
Taltali Upazila LGED Engineer Md. Sakhawat Hossain said the road from Karibariya Bazar to Harinbaria is very bad. The road will be renovated in the first phase of the next fiscal year. He also said that from Taltali to Fakirhat Fisheries landing center, the road will be renovated in the second phase of that fiscal year.
Amtali Upazila Local Government Engineer Md. Idris Ali said that a 5 km road from Manikjhuri to Kachupatra was filled with Khankhand. The budget will be covered under the renovation project in the next fiscal year.
Barguna LGED Executive Engineer Md. Mehdi Hasan said, "I have learned about the road. Work is underway to bring the reform project. He added that the 20 km road will not be able to be renovated together. However, the road will be renovated in the coming fiscal year.
