Dhaka 3rd Division Qualifying Cricket: Friendship Cricket Club starts campaign with 2-wicket win

Feni Friendship Cricket Club kicked off their Dhaka Third Division Qualifying Cricket Tournament campaign on a winning note, securing a tight 2-wicket victory over Future Stars Cricket Club in their first Round 1 match.
The tournament is organized by the Dhaka Metropolitan Cricket Committee (DMCC) under the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday.
Batted first at the Pubail Purbagaon Kriya Shiksha Pratishthan Ground, Future Stars Cricket Club set a target of 143 runs by posting 142/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Hridoy and Shahriar led the bowling attack for Friendship Cricket Club with 2 wickets each, while Masud picked up 1 wicket.
Chasing 143, Friendship Cricket Club reached 143/8 in 19.2 overs to seal the win. Despite early setbacks, the team recovered through crucial batting efforts led by Nasir Uddin, who scored a team-high 43 runs and was named Man of the Match. Captain Nehan contributed 24 runs, Mohaiminul Islam added 20, and Farhan scored 18 to complete the chase.
The team operates under Coach Ali Ashraf Imon, Manager Kamrul Hasan Rana, and Team Coordinator Habibur Rahman Rana. Expressing his excitement over the debut win, club organizer and BCB Feni District Councillor Shariful Islam Opu noted that such victories will inspire and help raise more emerging cricketing talent from Feni, following in the footsteps of national star Mohammad Saifuddin.
Friendship Cricket Club will play their second match of the first round against BST Cricket Club on September 30.
