European University of Bangladesh crowned themselves champions of the 8th edition of the Clemon Indoor Uni Cricket Tournament by defeating Bangladesh University by 27 runs in the grand final at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Thursday evening.

Losing the toss and being sent in to bat first on Thursday evening, European University of Bangladesh posted a formidable total of 158 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their allotted 8 overs. Captain Niloy led from the front with a explosive 40 off just 10 balls, while Mahfuz contributed 36 off 17 balls, Fahad scored 36 off 10 balls, and Saker added 28. For Bangladesh University, bowler Rana claimed 2 wickets conceding 10 runs, while Salam picked up 1 wicket for 24 runs.

In response, Bangladesh University suffered early setbacks in their chase of 159, losing open batsmen Mohobbot for a duck and Zohirul for 10 runs off 10 balls. Despite a late blitz from Shahporan, who smashed a team-high 43 off 9 balls, alongside Minhajul's 40 off 7 balls and Rana's 32 off 21 balls, Bangladesh University finished their 8 overs at 131 for 2. European University bowlers Hafiz and Ashraful claimed one wicket each to secure the 27-run victory.

Following the final match, members of the organizing committee handed over the championship trophy to the winning captain. The tournament was organized by "Three Creeks," an enterprise founded by former Bangladesh national cricket stars Athar Ali Khan, Akram Khan, and Khaled Mashud Pilot, featuring participation from 32 universities.

Bangladesh University batsman Minhajul emerged as the highest run-scorer of the tournament with 210 runs and hit the maximum number of sixes (31). His teammate Sohel Rana bagged the award for highest boundaries with 11 fours. Prior to this edition, Bangladesh University had won the title three times and finished runners-up twice in the tournament's history.
