The closing and prize distribution ceremony of the 1st Community Police Kabaddi Championship-2026 was held with grand festivities in Barguna.

Organized by the Barguna District Police with the slogan "Leave drugs behind, eliminate teen gangs, build a healthy and beautiful life," the event took place on Saturday morning at the Harimohan Government High School premises.

Chief Whip of Parliament Alhaj Nurul Islam Moni MP inaugurated and addressed the concluding session virtually as the chief guest.

Barguna Superintendent of Police Md. Kudrat-i-Khuda (PPM-Service) presided over the function.

Addressing the program, SP Kudrat-i-Khuda highlighted that the initiative aims to encourage the youth to engage in sports while steering them away from drugs and juvenile delinquency. He reiterated Barguna District Police’s commitment to curbing narcotics through social awareness, sports, and cultural involvement.
Six districts from the Barishal Range—Barguna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Bhola, Pirojpur, and Jhalakathi—competed in the day-long tournament.

Special guests present at the ceremony included Barguna Acting Deputy Commissioner Animesh Biswas, Additional Superintendent of Police Mukit Khan, District BNP General Secretary Humayun Hasan Shahin, Barguna Press Club President Mohammad Hafizur Rahman, Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate Nurul Amin, District BNP Organizational Secretary Fazlul Haq Master, and Islamic Movement Senior Vice-President Abdus Sakur, alongside sports organizers and journalists. Harun Or Rashid Rinku conducted the event.

Following the final matches, trophies and accolades were distributed among the participating and winning teams.
