Gajaria Sporting Club wins 2nd quarter-final of Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yousuf Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament

Gajaria Sporting Club defeated Jamalpur Sporting Club by 1-0 in the second quarter-final match of the Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yousuf Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament 2026, organized by Bakhunda Sujon Sangha, on Thursday.
The match was held at the Bakhunda Mini Stadium in Faridpur on Thursday afternoon.
Faridpur-3 (Sadar) Member of Parliament Chowdhury Nayab Yousuf attended the sporting event as the chief guest.
Presided over by Tournament Management Committee Convenor Shah Shafiqul Alam (Ranu Miah), the match was attended by Faridpur District Council Administrator Afzal Hossain Khan Palash, Faridpur Press Club General Secretary Mahbub Hossain Piyal, Faridpur District BNP Joint Convenor Tanveer Chowdhury Rubel, City BNP Joint Convenor Arifuzzaman Opu, City Jubo Dal President Benazir Ahmed Tabriz, District Sechchasebak Dal Member Secretary Shahriar Hossain Shithil, former City BNP President Md. Rezaul Islam, former Kotwali Thana BNP General Secretary Nazmul Hasan Chowdhury Ranjan, Mamunur Rashid Babu, Bakhunda Sujon Sangha Senior Vice President Navy Hannan, and Sports Secretary Shawn Ahmed alongside local dignitaries and sports enthusiasts.
Gajaria Sporting Club took an aggressive stance from the start of the match against Jamalpur Sporting Club, scoring one goal during regulation time to secure a 1-0 victory and advance in the tournament. Following the conclusion of the match, invited guests distributed awards to the best player and the goal scorer.
