Dead dolphins of endangered species recorded from river Halda

A dolphin again died in the Halda River.

The dolphin was recovered on Wednesday (January 5th) with the help of local people in Haldar Azim Ghat area.

Earlier, the dead dolphins died on the river. Rausan Upazila Fisheries Extension Officer Mohammad Alamgir Hossain Azadi confirmed the incident. He also said that due to the manpower crisis, many times they have to have trouble raiding the river Halda.

Halda Researcher and Professor of Zoology at Chittagong University Manjurul Kibria said, "The dolphin died a few days ago. The body was digested. The body was injured.

Raozan Upazila Fisheries Extension Officer, from September 27, till now, a total of 5 dolphins died in Halda and its branches. The rescue authorities identified the body injury to almost all dolphins except two. Multiple dolphins were also killed.
