DC inaugurates various development works in Pirojpur Pourashava

With the aim of increasing civic services in the Pirojpur municipal town, the Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashraful Alam Khan inaugurated various development works including road beautification, construction of sidewalks and drains, installation of street lights, and planting of beautifying trees from Krishnachura Crossing to Town School Crodsing in the town.
With the assistance of the World Bank, under the implementation of the Local Government Engineering Department and as part of a special program taken under the COVID-19 project, this project is being implemented. The inauguration of the project took place at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 26.
Under this project, a 300-meter drain, 300-meter sidewalk, 150-meter road, and installation of 60 street lights will be constructed on the said road at a cost of Tk 1 crore 3 lakh.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Alauddin Bhuiyan Jony, Municipal Administrator and Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Sakhawat Hossain, along with officials from various departments of the district administration and municipal officials, were also present.
