Anti-Corruption debate competition, prize distribution ceremony held in Phulbari

The Anti-Corruption Debate Competition 2025 and Prize Distribution Ceremony were held in Phulbari with the slogan “Youth Unity Against Corruption, Will Build a Pure Tomorrow,” the event took place at 11:30 am on Thursday in the hall room of Phulbari Girls’ High School (Pilot), under the chairmanship of the Upazila Anti-Corruption Prevention Committee President and former Freedom Fighter Commander Mojibur Rahman.
It was organized by the Upazila Anti-Corruption Prevention Committee, with assistance from the Integrated District Office of the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Upazila Administration, on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day 2025.
UNO Rehenuma Tarannum attended the event as the chief guest and delivered a speech. Among the special guests delivering speeches were Phulbari Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Abdus Salam, Upazila Fisheries Officer Hafizur Rahman, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Mahtab Hossain, and the Headmaster of Phulbari Girls’ High School (Pilot), Rahibul Islam. Additional speeches were given by Upazila Anti-Corruption Prevention Committee General Secretary and Assistant Teacher of Phulbari Girls’ High School (Pilot), Fatema Tuz Zohra, among many others. Also present were the former headmaster of Phulbari Girls’ High School (Pilot), Mr. Kanai Chandra Sen, and Upazila Anti-Corruption Prevention Committee member Jahangir Alam, along with many others.
Participating in the competition were the opposing team from Phulbari Girls’ High School (Pilot), the proposing team from Phulbari Adarsha High School, the opposing team from Kashipur High School, and the proposing team from Uttar Shimul Bari.
Serving as judges were Primary Education Officer Akbar Kabir, Upazila ICT Officer Azmal Afsar, and Academic Supervisor Abdus Salam.
Phulbari Adarsha High School, as the proposing team, won first place in the Anti-Corruption Debate Competition.
The event was hosted by Habibur Rahman Habib, recitation instructor of the Department of Women Affairs’ Adolescent Club.
