Day-long District Debate Festival-2025 held in Bagerhat

The first-ever Bashundhara Cement (NDF BD) Bagerhat District Debate Festival 2025 was held in Bagerhat with the slogan "Yuktir Aloy Muktir Joy Gaan" (The Victory of Freedom in the Light of Reason).
On this occasion, a colorful procession was taken out in front of the Zilla Parishad Auditorium on Friday morning, January 17.
Later, the day-long festival officially started at the Zilla Parishad Auditorium organized by the National Debate Federation Bangladesh Bagerhat District Branch.
About five hundred students from different educational institutions in nine upazilas of the district attended the event.
The organizers said that the festival was organized with the aim of eliminating prejudice among the students of Bagerhat and developing them as rational people.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by AKM Shoaib, the founding chairman of the National Debate Federation Bangladesh.
Bagerhat District Commissioner Ahmed Kamrul Hasan spoke as the chief guest.
The day-long debate festival included popular children's debate exhibition, parliamentary debate, professional debate, planchette debate exhibition, traditional debate, barwari debate, public speaking and quiz competition.
In addition, two important workshops were English debate workshop and traditional debate workshop.The winners were awarded prizes and various gifts to the students at the event.
