
Cheif Assistant of Patharghata Upazila Parishad dies from dengue

Sirajum Munira (33), the Chief Assistant (CA) of Patharghata Upazila Parishad in Barguna died after being infected with dengue on Saturday (June 28) at 10:30 AM.
She died on the way in the Bhola area while being taken to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in Barishal.
The matter has been confirmed by Patharghata UNO Mohammad Mizanur Rahman.
Munira was the daughter of Mohammad Mozammel Kazi of Hoglapasha village in Charduani Union of Patharghata Upazila and the wife of Monir Mia of Padma village in Sadar Union. She is survived by a 10-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter.
Patharghata UNO Md. Mizanur Rahman said, she was infected with dengue a few days ago and admitted to the hospital on Thursday. On Saturday morning, her platelet count dropped and she was being taken to Barishal for advanced treatment. Munira died on the way.
