Former owners of Rajbari Big Bazaar, Azad Molla and Liton Molla, have been accused of financial fraud and forgery worth Tk 2 crore.

On Tuesday noon, the victim businessman and Managing Director of Ayub Hilltop Supermarket, Md. Nur Hossain, filed a written complaint with the president of the Rajbari Chamber of Commerce and Industries, seeking justice for fraud and forgery.

According to the complaint, the owners of Rabeya Big Bazaar, Md. Azad Mollah and Liton Mollah and their associate Moniruzzaman Monir have embezzled 20 million taka through financial fraud and forgery. The complaint states that Nur Hossain, the managing director of Ayub Hilltop Supermarket, entered into an agreement to purchase a complete market product stock from an organization called Rabeya Big Bazaar for 20 million taka. Under the agreement, 8 refrigerators of different companies, the postal company's own rack, mirror, and decoration were sold. During the agreement, Azad Mollah and Liton Mollah assured that the market had full stock of all the goods shown in the system. If any product was short, it would be replenished later. A few days after the agreement, it was seen that the market had many fewer products than the products specified in the agreement. When the matter was informed to them, they wasted time by not delivering the products. Later, it was learned that the market had a shortfall of about 38 lakh taka. A few days later, people from the 8 refrigerator and furniture companies under our control came and informed us that Azad and Liton had no right to sell them. This was basically a terrible fraud and deception.

Ayub Hilltop Supermarket Managing Director Md. Nur Hossain said, "My expatriate brother Md. Ayub wanted to do business in Rajbari to create employment."
Then Raeba made two agreements with Big Bazaar. Currently, the owners of Raeba Big Bazaar, Azad Molla and Liton Molla, are unwilling to accept that agreement. They have cheated us terribly. Now they are threatening to kill me in various ways.

Imamul Karim Joki, President of the Rajbari Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "The managing director of Ayub Hilltop submitted a written complaint to my office on Tuesday afternoon. I am currently in Dhaka. His complaint will be reviewed when I come to Rajbari."

Abdur Razzak Liton, owner of Rabeya Big Bazaar, said, "We sold the business entity Rabeya Big Bazaar to expatriate businessman Ayub for 2 crore taka in a contract. They paid me 1 crore taka. I gave them a check for the remaining 1 crore taka. The bank dishonored the cheque I have sent them a legal notice."
