
Book on ‘Marketing in a Transition Economy’ unrapped at DU

The case-study-based marketing book on ‘Marketing in a Transition Economy: New Realities, Challenges and Prospects’ has been officially unveiled.
Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, unveiled the book on Monday at an event held at the Abdullah Faruque Conference Hall, where he attended as the chief guest.
The book was jointly authored by Professor Dr. Mohammad Ismail Hossain, Professor Dr. Nasrin Akter, and Professor Dr. Abureza Muhammad Muzareba from the Department of Marketing, University of Dhaka.
Treasurer of the University of Dhaka, Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, Prof Dr. Mahmud Osman Imam, Chairman of the Department of Marketing, Prof Dr. Sirajul Haque, Chairman and Managing Director of Unilever Bangladesh, Mohammad Javed Akhtar, Vice-Chancellor of East-West University, Prof Shams Rahman, and President and Provost of UCBBD, Prof Hugh Gill also spoke.
Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan thanked the professors involved for writing the book, stating that it will play an effective role in the development of business enterprises in the country.
It is mentioned that this is the first comprehensive case-study-based book written on business enterprises, published by the world-renowned academic publisher Springer Nature (Palgrave Macmillan).
