BNP leader's festoon spread across Patuakhali's Kalapara town seeking the help of the law enforcement agencies to get back the occupied houses has sparked a storm of discussion.

Former office secretary of Upazila BNP leader's hanging festoon with electricity poles visible from Friday morning. Common people were seen gathering to read Khalilur Rahman Chunnu Akon's hanging festoon.

On the upper left side of the festoon given by BNP leader Chunnu Akon are pictures of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairperson Tarique Zia. BNP Central Committee Training Affairs Secretary ABM Mosharraf Hossain's picture on the right side. And the former Minister of State for Water Resources Md. Mahbubur Rahma, former Upazila Parishad Chairman SM Rakibul Ahsan, former Mayor Bipul Chandra Howlader and Upazila Sramik League President Swapan Howlader pictures are given as the accused of the occupying the land with house. Under the festoon there is a picture of the victim Kalilur Rahman Chunnu Akon and his son.

It is written in the festoon, former office secretary of BNP Khalilur Rahman Chunnu Akon's residence, life and property along with women were subjected to inhuman torture by the accused in the middle of the night. He demanded the help of all law enforcement agencies and exemplary punishment of the accused to get back the house.

The victim Khalilur Rahman Chunnu Akon told the media, "Former State Minister of Water Resources Mahbub and his associates have taken over my residence by force at a nominal price. I will soon take legal recourse with a press conference on this."

The former Minister of State for Water Resources Md. Mahbubur Rahman and former Upazila Parishad Chairman SM Rakibul Ahsan could not be found.
